There's an old saying that when a rug is weaved, it imbues within itself a piece of its weaver's soul. Handloom rugs are weaved over years and, at times, by more than one person. It isn't then a surprise that these pieces of generational art have subtle inaccuracies speckled around them, indicating a moment where one left and another took over. But that is what makes these pieces of art so priceless. At Knotting Club, we procure some beautiful vintage rugs and carpets that tell stories of times past and turn them into design pieces that will last generations and hopefully be passed down one day as heirlooms.
